This is by far my favorite of your creations and I got a few new people to follow and engage with. You're on fire with all the fun things that are coming from your sparks.
Love this, Kim! What an amazing group of people from all over Substack. Just a heart-warming group who also show how we can be so different and connected too.
Yeah, itβs easy for me to stay in my lane with everything AIβ¦ but I intentionally seek out a variety of publications as a reminder weβre not one-dimensional, lol.
I love that, and I love that about this group. It actually got me thinking about how theyβre both all about AI (like us haha), but all of us together are capturing how weβre human and can be multifaceted. I love it!
What an honor to be listed among all of you; thank you so much Kim!! You already know how much I love the visuals.
You framed this up so perfectly - "How do you stay open and growing when everything around you is pushing you to narrow down, specialize, pick a lane?" - and I'm glad sharing bits of my life makes it easier to connect.
Reading everyone else's bios got me thinking about how I show up here, balancing "don't narrow down, we contain multitudes" with personal brand.
The more technical side of what I'm doing isn't really coming through - and I think that's because I really let people in on the personal stuff, I'm pretty unguarded talking about what's happening day to day, but... I show up more polished and armored on the technical product side. My guess is that makes it less memorable.
Kim, this is so cool! I love that you created this and thank you for including me. How cool! I loved your stories about summer vacations, I have so many memories of KOAs and setting up the camp sites! π
Canβt wait to start exploring and getting stamps in my passport! β€οΈππ
Camping feels like SO much work nowβ¦ unless itβs glamping Iβm probably not doing it ever again, hahaβ¦ (my husband & I had a ski boat and so that was pretty much how most summer weekends were spentβ¦ So.Much.Work. π)
Kim this is amazing! What a brilliant idea for building community! And look at all my friends, would travel to see them anytime, and YOU! Thank you so much for including me!
Itβs nuts. I havenβt been for a few yearsβ¦ it used to be so much easier. I have so many fun pics of family Disney trips since it was so close.
*Fun fact: My Momβs family went to Disney the year it opened (they were all dressed formally, lol).
My grandmother took a photo when they were having breakfast in New Orleans cafe (Micky Mouse pancakes!) and my grandmother circled someone else in the photo.
On the back of the photo she wrote, βMan in the circle is Walt Disney!β
*I love this photo because my sister had to bring her blanket π₯°
i love love LOVE this! I am following/subscribed to many of the people listed - but not all! and i'm going to rectify that by subscribing to everyone else because they all sound AMAZING! thanks for rounding up this amazing group of humans and Substackers!
This was such a sweet tribute to read, how marvelous, Kim. I loved how you shared about the passport idea growing up and then how it inspired the structure and theme for this article. When I first saw the image as a note you posted I was studying each of the characters with curiosity, as a few of them I could already recognize. Reading this article felt like putting in the last puzzle piece and now I have official itinerary to travel to each of these βworldsβ and get to know these individuals πππ½βοΈ Beautiful article!
Kim Doyal, I did not know you read CLAG on Medium. How cool is that?! Thank you for including me in this lovely piece. I am honored to be in such good company. I truly appreciate all the support you have given us. You are a gem.
Youβre so welcome and Iβm so appreciative of the work youβre doing with CLAG.
Growing up it never occurred to me to go into anything in STEM. It simply wasnβt introduced to me (I did take a computer class in 7th grade, but thatβs another story).
I haven't finished the article yet so I'll post again when I do but - that's so cool you came here for the Expo! I am pretty sure i went because I had a little plastic Expo mascot figurine. I was 7 but I don't remember it... I laughed at fhe raining for a days! That's Vancouver! π (also, sorry to hear about your mom π₯)
Oh darn I cant attach any photos here...I was gonna share a screenshot of the upcoming weather here! A few days with some rain coming up...I'll share it in a note and tag you! Lol
I love this post so much. It demonstrates what is great about this platform - the combination of quality content and the generosity of creators promoting others without wanting anything in return. Plus, it's given me some new newsletter to follow!
What a thrill to be included in this wonderful and varied group of creators! Thank you, Kim, for your generosity in shining a spotlight on others and still having time to forge so fearlessly into new tools and technologies so you can teach us how to use them too. Now Iβm off to use your passports to travel to some other worlds. If you deemed them worthy to include, I know Iβll love seeing what theyβre up to.

Thanks, Lee π
You can probably tell I had a ton of fun creating this.
I definitely need to keep the passports going!
Love this, Kim! What an amazing group of people from all over Substack. Just a heart-warming group who also show how we can be so different and connected too.
Thanks, Alyssa,

Maybe I can hold back less. β€οΈ
Definitely hold back less!!!
I think the personal mixed in with the technical is truly what connects us to people we subscribe to and follow.
Itβs the biggest differentiator we have.
(clearly replied to the restack before this, lol..)
And youβre so welcome!

And youβre welcome!
Ahhβ¦ good olβ KOA camps, lol.

hahahaha same! Iβd consider glamping but these days Iβm reaching for a comfy hotel with all the amenities π€£
What a fun and creative idea! And a wonderful list of folks to explore.
Thanks so much, Fran!
I looove these destinations, gotta get the ones I havenβt been to in my Substack passport. π©·π¦©
Thanks, Pinkie, π
Kim this is amazing! What a brilliant idea for building community! And look at all my friends, would travel to see them anytime, and YOU! Thank you so much for including me!
Thanks, Mack,
These are the fun things to build (well, I think itβs all fun, but you know what I mean).
It would be a blast to travel together (Iβd settle for an in-person event of some sort).
Now you can barely walk in Disneyland, which is why I rarely visit.
so crowded.
I love seeing old family photos, Kim.
I know, Neela,

I love that the photo wasn't "Look, Walt Disney!" It was, "Here's breakfast. Also, that guy in the background happens to be Walt Disney." π
I remember dressing formally for everything - even grocery shopping.
I think we grew up in fun times, Kim.
We absolutely did, Neela π
Totally on the photo! As much as I love technology because it gave me my business, I sure am grateful I grew up without it.

Haha, thanks, Caitlin,
Iβve already got ideas on doing the next one π
so awesome!!!

Thank you so much, Stacey,
Going down memory lane of family vacations was fun (albeit always a little bittersweet since my Mom isnβt here anymore).
Iβm going to do a post on how I built all of this as wellβ¦
I think it would be a fun giveaway for anyone else who wants to create a version of something similar (or very different). π₯°

Iβm glad I jumped in when I did!
I am so glad you jumped in too!!!! I have learned so much from you.
OMG so brilliant
I am teary-eyed. The feature is so cool.
I love you, Kim
Happy Monday
Thanks, Neela π«Άπ»

Yeah, we were like, βwhat? Itβs raining?β hahaβ¦
And thank you⦠she was (is) my hero. Grateful for her everyday.

Hahaβ¦
I get whiney when itβs under 80F haha.. itβs supposed to be 84 here today (29C)
Spoken like a true Californian! π

Thank you so much, Mariam,
I wanted to do something that pulled in people from different niches and/or who were new-ish to me.
Iβm glad you found some new people to follow.
How lovely this was! π₯°β€οΈπ₯°
Thank you, Mia π

I had so much fun creating this. Iβm already thinking about a different version for fall, lol (not that I want to rush summer mind you).
Thank you for your kind words. π
My pleasure!
